ريم شهاب منتجة أفلام ذات خبرة عالية ووكيل مبيعات مع أكثر من 15 عامًا من الخبرة في الصناعة. تخرجت من الجامعة اللبنانية الأمريكية بدرجة البكالوريوس في فنون الاتصال وبدأت حياتها المهنية كمديرة إنتاج في Fantacope Production ، وهي شركة إنتاج يملكها المخرج الشهير فيليب عرقتنجي.
خلال فترة عملها التي امتدت 11 عامًا في Fantacope Production ، لعبت شهاب دورًا أساسيًا في إنتاج مجموعة متنوعة من المشاريع ، بما في ذلك الأفلام الروائية والأفلام القصيرة ومقاطع الفيديو الخاصة بالشركات والأفلام الوثائقية والإعلانات التلفزيونية. تم اختيار العديد من هذه المشاريع ومنحها الجوائز في مهرجانات دولية ، كما تم بث بعضها على Netflix
بالإضافة إلى عملها في إنتاج الأفلام في Fantascope ، أنتجت شهاب أيضًا أفلامًا للشركات للمتاحف المحلية المرموقة مثل متحف الجامعة الأمريكية في بيروت ومتحف بنك لبنان ومتحف كسارة. يستمر عرض هذه الأفلام في مباني هذه المتاحف للزوار اليوميين.
علاوة على ذلك ، تم تكريم شهاب لمساهماتها البارزة في الصناعة ، حيث تم منحها شخصيًا كأفضل منتجة في حفل توزيع جوائز السينما اللبنانية في عام 2018 عن فيلم استمع للمخرج فيليب عرقتنجي.
بالإضافة إلى عملها اليومي ، تشارك شهاب أيضًا بنشاط في العمل الإنساني ، وتتطوع على مدار العام مع المنظمات غير الحكومية والمساهمين المرموقين.
تعمل شهاب حاليًا كمديرة إنتاج بدوام جزئي للفنانة والمخرجة المعاصرة فاديا أحمد وأيضًا كمنتجة مستقلة ووكيلة مبيعات متخصصة في الأفلام اللبنانية المحلية. شاركت في العديد من الإنتاجات الناجحة وتعتبر شخصية بارزة في صناعة السينما اللبنانية.
