Nisreen Deeb: Empowering Women Through Tech

Nisreen Deeb has more than 13 years in the IT industry by consulting businesses on their digital 

transformation journey and 10 years in the social entrepreneurship by co-founding many 

initiatives to empower youth and women in Lebanon, and currently she is the director of the 

Lebanese League for Women in Business. She is certified from international institutions on 

leadership, management, governance of organizations, and roles of policies in development. 

Nisreen is involved in encouraging young women to appreciate STEAM and aspires to global 

reach through the power of technology, which is perceptible from her winning achievement in 

2013 as a one of the top 5 TechWomen emerging leaders in Lebanon and spent five weeks in 

Silicon Valley.  

Cultivating Opportunities: Nisreen’s Dedication to Empowering Lebanon’s Youth in STEM

The opportunity that Nisreen had in Silicon Valley encouraged her to come back to her nation 

and provide an environment for Lebanese students and women to achieve their full potential.

Therefore, co-founding the Girls Got IT initiative aims to teach STEM skills to young girls.

From all areas in Lebanon by engaging the startup companies and the Ecosystem, Founding the 

Arab Women in Computing Lebanon Chapter, an active member in the LLWB STEM Committee, 

Co-Founding USALTECH (a community for Tech Women and Tech Girls in Lebanon), in addition to 

organizing many hackathons and events in Lebanon. 

Nisreen Deeb’s Impact on the Global Tech and Business Community

Renowned as a public speaker for women in IT and Business, she has graced numerous international

events, including Microsoft Ignite in Orlando, Women in STEM in Dubai, and the TechGirls launching event

in Washington C. Moreover, she actively participates in tech events at universities across Lebanon and

serves as a judge in the Hult Prize competition at various universities in the country.

Driving Economic Empowerment, Nisreen’s Visionary Leadership in Women’s Economic Advancement

Within her current position, she is setting strategic plans with board of directors, international 

donors, and partners to initiate programs and activities to empower women economically in Lebanon.

She also works on organization governance, policies, and the team to achieve growth in terms of

members, funds, and partnerships.
