Liana Haddad

Liana Haddad is a young American-Lebanese citizen born in 1998 in Boston, Massachusetts. Throughout her life, Liana has lived between the United States and Lebanon with her only twin brother. Her name means “Li Ana” in Arabic, was chosen by her father. Her name carries significant meaning as it translates to “for me” in Arabic and “a gift from God” in Greek.

Liana attended high school in Lebanon at the SABIS International Private School in Adma. She graduated with honors in 2020 from Suffolk University, where she earned a degree in finance with a concentration in corporate finance and a minor in marketing. During the pandemic, Liana pursued her passion for business following her fathers footstep and completed her master’s degree in International Business (MIB) & Organizational Behavior from Hult International Business University, graduating with distinction at the age of 23.

In August 2020, when a devastating explosion in Lebanon killed dozens of people, Liana and her friends founded a non-profit organization called Heart of Youth (HOY). This initiative aims to financially support primary school students who were deprived of attending school due to currency depreciation and unemployment from the economic crisis. HOY has helped over 30 families in the Metn area and beyond.

Liana’s deep love and passion for Lebanon inspired her to create a brand that showcases the country’s unique handmade talent. In February 2022, Liana founded Jolia, a brand specializing in high-quality handmade bags. The name Jolia was inspired by the combination of Liana’s two names combined. The brand is registered in Lebanon and focuses on empowering unemployed people in the country by providing them with home-based work opportunities.

Jolia has already gained a lot of recognition and sponsorship from one of the most luxurious malls in Lebanon, ABC department in Dbaye and Verdun. The brand has been featured in several interviews on known television channels like LBC and OTV, and its unique bags are admired by both celebrities and international clientele.

Throughout her life, Liana has maintained her unconditional love for Lebanon and has made countless visits to the country, whenever she has the opportunity. Her dedication to empowering the Lebanese people and showcasing the country’s talent through her brand Jolia is a testament to her commitment to her roots. As a businesswoman, Liana’s mission is to continue to strive for success while also giving back to her community through her non-profit and providing opportunities for unemployed individuals in Lebanon. Her future plans is to establish a handmade based community platform on Jolia specializing in many variety of qualified unique goods creating more jobs.
