Dr. Sabrin Ali Azim is Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She graduated at Azerbaijan Medical University in 2010, and then received her Master and Doctoral Degrees in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Azerbaijan Medical University, Azerbaijan. Dr. Sabrin has completed herclinical oral and maxillofacial surgery training at AKH university in Vienna, Austria, Capa University , Istanbul, Turkey.
Dr. Sabrin’s PhD thesis is about The Quality of life after cleft palate surgery. She developed algorithm of treatment to increase the QOL.
Before moving to UAE, Dr. Sabrin has taken different academic and clinical positions in Azerbaijan. Dr. Sabrin worked in different Universities in UAE as Assistant Professor and Specialist of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 2016.
Dr. Sabrin has also been involved as a subject matter expert in building different E-learning platforms that serve both the dental students and the profession. Moreover, she has provided consultation services to private and governmental dental colleges seeking national and international trainings, MOUs.
Dr. Sabrin organized different specialty related trainings and collaborations between the organizations. MOUs between Azerbaijan Medical University and Universities in UAE, Pakistan etc. MOU between SOS children’s village Azerbaijan, ALIM scientific association in France, Collaborated with Catholic medical university of sacred heart, ITALY, Collaboration with Ministry of health in Azerbaijan, Organizer of a medical trainings in Azerbaijan Medical university for students of MBBS and BDS from UAE), Organizing of Advisory board meeting, Collaboration with operation smile, Italy.
In research, Dr. Sabrin has over 27 publications in internationally recognized journal and her research focus is on the applications of new technologies in dentistry, The Efficacy of Sedation Depends on the Diet of Population, Antibiotic therapy and offstage about covid – 19 vaccinations, Covid 19and Stem cells in dentistry
Dr. Sabrin has actively contributed with presentations, workshops and courses in both specialties at several national and international events in UAE, Azerbaijan, Europe. Dr. Sabrin is experienced in supervising student projects (around 27 research projects that were awarded as best poster in Dental facial conference ,Chosen as best 10 posters in AEEDC, Chosen as best poster for Saudi German hospital , Presented in Dubai International Food Safety conference, MBRU Hacks Covid19, , Azerbaijan Diaspora Youth, Presented in Breast Cancer awareness day).
Moreover, Dr. Sabrin has a passion in community services. Such passion derived her to organize and participate as a volunteer with different organizations in UAE such as: Special Olympics UAE , Friends of Cancer , Breast Cancer (Pink October), Volunteers UAE (Sanid), Red Crescent
