Life often takes us on unexpected paths, leading us to new challenges and opportunities. Such was the case for me when I made the life-changing decision to move from the United Kingdom, where I had a successful career in retail, to Dubai, embracing the role of a housewife. Taking time off to raise my daughter was a rewarding experience, but as she grew older, I felt a burning desire to re-enter the corporate world.
Eager to make a meaningful impact, I set out to find a platform that could connect me with influential individuals and offer guidance on starting a business. To my surprise, I discovered that such platforms were extinct.
Motivated by this realization, I made a pivotal decision: to build a platform that connects aspiring female entrepreneurs with influential individuals, provides training, and mentorship and guide them in navigating the complexities of running businesses. This is how the platform BeingShe was formed. Over the years, we have made deliberate efforts to establish strategic partnerships with business councils, private equity firms, and industry-specific organizations to build a strong support system that fosters mentorship opportunities for women on our platform.
We regularly host events, conferences, and forums, offering our members valuable platforms to showcase their businesses, expand their networks, and forge meaningful partnerships.
Navigating the uncharted waters of entrepreneurship is undoubtedly challenging, but with the right support, it becomes a rewarding and empowering experience. My journey led me to understand the importance of targeted support for each entrepreneurial pursuit.
Through BeingShe Universe, we have enabled models to connect with fashion houses and collaborate with luxury brands. We recently facilitated over forty more awards of excellence to female trailblazers, recognizing their contributions across various fields. Via the BeingShe Empowered program, we have supported foreign brands in connecting with UAE customers.
Through my experiences, I hope to inspire and empower other women who find themselves yearning for a similar transformation—to step out of their comfort zones, embrace entrepreneurship, and create their own success stories.

Collaboration is a powerful tool for growth and expansion. Seek out partnerships with businesses that share a common goal or target audience. By pooling resources, expertise, and networks, you can amplify your impact and reach new heights together.
Be part of a networking group that connects you to the right people
Active participation in networking platforms like the BeingShe Club enhances your visibility, expands your network, and increases your chances of finding the support and resources you need to thrive.
Keep learning by exposing yourself to new experiences
Embrace professional development opportunities, such as workshops, seminars, and industry-specific conferences to expand your skill set, enhance your industry knowledge, and stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations. Remember, the more you expose yourself to new experiences, the more you can adapt and evolve as an entrepreneur.

As I reflect on my entrepreneurial journey in the UAE, I am filled with a sense of gratitude, resilience, and a deep desire to make a lasting impact. Today, I invite women from all corners of the world to join hands in supporting our recently launched online portal – BeingShe Cares which provides financial assistance to those in need, be it for medical bills, education, etc. By coming together and contributing to this cause, we can truly make a difference in the lives of individuals and families in need.
