Dr. Intissar Haddiya’s Medical Expertise and Academic Achievements

Dr. Intissar Haddiya (MD, PhD)  Moroccan nephrologist, writer, and lecturer; Dr. Intissar has combined her experiences, passions, studies, skills and talents to supplement her career path with multidisciplinary capabilities, from a medical doctor to a successful book writer.

Head of Medical Department and Dr. Intissar Haddiya’s Professional Experience

Her exceptional certifications and degrees in Nephrology, Bioethics, and global health from the universities of Geneva and Manchester underpin her expertise. Currently, she serves as a professor of medicine and heads the medical department at the Faculty of Medicine of Oujda, University Mohamed Premier, Morocco. She brings extensive experience in areas such as hypertension, kidney disease, dialysis, kidney donation, and transplant.

Dr. Intissar Haddiya’s Social Engagement and Entrepreneurship

In addition to being an academic in the field, Dr. Intissar is a multi-tasker mother of two and a social entrepreneur, actively involved and civically engaged in associative work with the society to promote healthcare and relevant support to kidney disease patients in Eastern Morocco.

Dr. Intissar Haddiya’s Authorship and Literary Contributions

Dr. Intissar invests her passion for writing in novels that illuminate women’s conditions and the challenges they face in today’s societies. Her works include “Si Dieu nous prête vie” (2016) translated into English, “L’inconnue” (2019) translated into Arabic, and “Trahison Pieuse” (2021). Cambridge University Press (New York) published her initial essays and short stories from 1999 to 2005. In 2017, St. Honoré editions in Paris published her book “Au fil des songes,” which was translated into English and awarded the prestigious “Spécial francophonie” prize in a French Literacy contest in 2019.

Moreover, She recently published an academic book entitled: “Social Responsibility in Health: Which application in Africa?” (Peter Lang ed.- Switzerland).

Dr. Intissar Haddiya’s Goal of Empowering Women

Being a successful woman able to overcome obstacles to reach her goals grants Dr. Intissar the credibility to evidently portray realistic circumstances of women striving for achieving success, amidst complex environments.
