“You can eat all the kale in the world, but if you are in a toxic relationship, or in an unpleasant job, you still will not be healthy”-Joelle Ghaly.
Having suffered for a long period of time from stress and anxiety, Joelle’s life was often a challenge to find peace and happiness…
Struggling with a roller coaster of ups and downs, Joelle hit rock bottom when she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, due to lack of self-care.
It was at that moment that Joelle had an awakening. She understood that her body is a temple, and that she needed a drastic change in her way of thinking and living.
So, cue the change of diet, practicing yoga, meditation, and-particularly-self-love and kindness. As a result, Joelle’s body began to heal.
Since then, Joelle vowed to learn about nutrition, and then to play a crucial role in improving health and happiness, and-through that process-create a ripple effect that transforms the world.
After studying Integrative Holistic Nutrition, Joelle realized that “eating clean” was not enough to be well nourished and healthy. More important factors such as healthy relationships, fulfilling careers, regular physical activity, and a spiritual practice are important factors that feed your soul and satisfy your real hunger.
“We hunger for play, fun, touch, romance, intimacy, love, achievement, success, art, music, self-expression, leadership, excitement, adventure, and spirituality. All these holistic elements, considered as our primary food are essential forms of nourishment. Therefore, real food is considered as secondary”.
Throughout her coaching experience, Joelle was so proud to share her experience and to help others in embarking on a healthy life. It was during this time that she discovered that emotional eating was affecting almost all her clients, both men and women.
Subsequently, Joelle decided to specialize in Emotional Eating (i.e. using food for a purpose other than nourishment and satiation, but as a coping mechanism to sooth or numb emotions that we don’t want to feel) and to coach men and women who are fed up with years of dieting, in order to develop a pleasurable relationship with themselves, and to enable them to finally reach their goals.
